John Hoyer Dominates at Devils Lake

Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, dominated the National Walleye Tour (NWT) Championship on Devils Lake in North Dakota, September 11-13. In close competition, Lowrance professional angler John Hoyer took the top spot on Sunday with a three-day cumulative total of 67.73 pounds. Lowrance HDS fishfinder/chartplotters were used by four of the top ten anglers in the championship event.

“My Lowrance HDS LIVE SideScan was hands down the number one contributor to my success this year,” said Hoyer. “I have one Lowrance HDS unit in the bow that is dedicated to SideScan and I keep one eye on it at all times. It lets me find fish in practice without hooking them, giving me the confidence that they will be ready to bite during tournament hours. I’ll never go out again without my HDS LIVE.”
