Boortmeerbeek, Belgium – Dockmate®, manufacturer of advanced wireless remote controls for yachts, announced today it has partnered with CMC Marine after working together with the company on two Benetti superyachts. The purpose of the agreement is to offer a seamless integration of the two brands’ products, providing yacht owners with maneuvering systems that are technologically advanced, convenient to use and efficient.
The result of their first joint projects are linked to the prestigious Benetti name, with the two companies achieving perfect synergy between their respective products on the ninth Mediterraneo 116 and the second Oasis 40M models. The Benetti research and development office worked alongside CMC Marine and Dockmate’s engineers, simulating integration tests in a laboratory with a demo of the yachts used to determine the interaction between the Tuscany-based CMC marine’s thrusters and the low-speed maneuvering control systems developed by Dockmate. As a result of this synergy, the owners of the two Benetti yachts will be able to use their Dockmate TWIST wireless remote control to manage all onboard maneuvering systems.
A unique selling point of Dockmate systems, is their ability to proportionally control the thrusters on any model equipped with CMC Marine’s CMC-CANopen system and control panels. As a result, numerous yachts all over the world will soon be fitted with control systems developed by the two brands.
“This new partnership is founded on Dockmate and CMC Marine’s shared corporate vision and our team’s similar approach to product development,” said Dirk Illegems, president, Dockmate. “We are confident that our capable engineering and installation staff, along with flawless product integration and thorough testing, working in concert with experienced yacht builders, will provide owners the pinnacle of peace of mind, comfort and convenience.”
Dockmate® manufactures the latest in advanced, yet affordable wireless remote-control technology. Highly reliable and intuitive, the Dockmate SINGLE(+), TWIN(+), TWIST and VECTOR systems allow every skipper to dock a boat singlehanded, offering the ability to leave the helm and get a closer look at the surroundings in marinas and other tight quarters, while still in complete control of the boat’s movement.
